Very nice service. Easy to use for Free and Premium proXPN. This service is the best of VPN services I've tried. Support staff were helpful and quick to respond. The account is easy to setup and the client software looks nice and offers nice additional features. The free service is pretty good, but of course, the Premium is better. I like their server locations in all corners of USA, UK, NL, and Singapore. When I was in China, I was surprised that it worked from there too.

Ive been using it about 4 months and so far no outages and no problems connecting. I asked support for tips about speed and they answered back within 5 mins about how to maximize the speed.

I like the automatic update and VPN Guard features. But the best feature for me is the VPN mode and the new port settings. With this I have been able to connect even faster to the vpn and get better vpn speed for downloading when I need it.

I saw a poster ask about how protect from the connection dropping and revealing his IP or data transfer, and that's what the VPN Guard is for. The VPN Guard is built into the proxpn software.

They have a very good PPTP that works with my PC, my iPhone, my wife's mac and her ipad2. It was cool how easy that was to setup, even my wife could do it without nagging me. I asked the support staff for additional info about this, and they quickly helped me out. Compared to other vpn services, I find this to be the easiest and best supported one out there.

Their Basic-Free version is limited compared to the Premium-paid version. Basic-Free is limited in speed, open ports, and country selection.

Their Premium-Paid version is no fixed speed limit, all ports open, and all country selections.

Overall, and compared to other vpn services, I find this to be the easiest and best supported one out there.

Service doesn't work, support is nonexistant, and "Kent Ball" is the single rudest tech support rep I have ever dealt with. Below is a transcript of a recent support ticket I submitted to them, along with his response. Apparently asking them to do their job is abusive? Decide for yourself if you want to even TRY this service, much less pay for it!

This is my 3rd support ticket. A previous ticket was closed with no resolution and all records of my original ticket have been deleted. Proxpn was working fine for a while. However, now I am able to connect, but download speed is nonexistant. (~5 min to load proxpn.com main page. Can't even check my email!) I am on a 13mb cable internet connection. Running windows 7 home. Proxpn software has been reinstalled multiple times with the latest version, but is still unuseable. Ping times to proxpn.com are between 36-58ms when not connected. I previously sent a tracert log as requested, but recieved no response. As I had originally stated, I am not expecting great speeds, just the speed as advertised, but I am getting < 1 k/sec.

"Hello,
Whether you have 1 ticket or many. Your questions have been answered fully and repeatedly related to your Free account. Support staff are here for helping people with technical issues and not here for people to abuse. Free accounts are a privilege and not a right. Moreover, Free accounts are taking all responsibilities of connecting to the internet and proxpn vpn upon themselves."

I have been using proXPN for about 2 months. It's been very good for me from that time til now. Every day I connect and use it all day and most of the night for the past 2 months with zero problems. Always a consistently solid performance. It is surprisingly fast and I always forget I have it on. I have not had to use much support because the software is just plain good. I saw in a review by Davidb86 that he was wondering about the IP being his and not the VPN's. That's a documented windows problem, and guess what... The new proXPN software even fixes that windows problem.

I used it for a while actually since the start of the beta phase and it worked fine but now..
I want some customers of proXPN to do the following because this is MY error and there's been no response from proXPN as yet and I've sent about 5 emails.
1. Log onto beta or paid service proXPN
2. Every 5 minutes or so go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ or any check what my IP is site and check the IP number because whats happening to me is that it's disconnecting my proXPN connection without telling me and I'm actually using MY IP rather than theirs and I never would have known unless I checked what my IP was.
I think a few of you will find that your actually using YOUR IP and been disconnected from proXPN withiin 5 minutes of starting a proXPN conncetion without knowing but I need some help in checking it out to see if it's happening to other clients because the green "connected light" in the task-bar is often wrong.
The proXPN software will NOT tell you when your disconnected and I've been caught out thinking I'm using a secure connection when my connection has been dropped and am using MY IP numbers. If I wasn't checking I never would have caught on.
I recently upgraded my system and reformatted the HDD and left the firewalls off and the first thing I did was check the proXPN connection and guess what? I was disconnected in the first 5 minutes but there was no notification and the proXPN task bar light remained green. If some other would check this out for me on their connection and post results here I'd appreciate it.
Just for the record I am beta still because I refuse to pay for a service that drops every 5 minutes so it may be a part of the beta program, VPN's do limit their connection time sometimes and paid service gets you a better connection.
I also find it suspicious that there has been no response to my email queries regarding the matter.
TIA
DB

tried a few vpn services and everything was either too difficult to setup or didn't work right. these guys took it to modern standards with a quick download and automated setup process. only been using for about a week but so far no outages, no problems connecting, and speed is great.

the claim of it being free is true but you have to pay $5 each month for even more speed and stronger encryption apparently. I don't need that personally but if I watched a lot of videos online I'd probably go for it.

good service and worth it imo.

Very nice service. Easy to use. Download the exe/dmg and install and enter your password. and you are on and fully working.

Compared to other vpn services I find this to be the easiest out there. I was up and running in less then 5 minutes with no issues at all.

I give it a A+++ and I would recommend it to anyone.

We actively use AND recommend proXPN to our customers. We found them when they were in the Beta stage and we've had no trouble with connections or speed of content delivery. They've clearly done a good job already, and they're still FREE! Simple to setup on our computers, and on our iPhones. So we're secure in the airports and city cafes too. We don't risk the privacy of our corporate data, nor our clients data, being hijacked through the net... and proXPN helps us keep our promises in place about data privacy and security. Usually, we only do write ups about stuff we DON'T like, but these guys have got it just right, and this is one way to say thanks.

I've been using proXPN for a while now, they had some ups and downs with getting their software right, but their new version seems to work really well and be polished.

I like the Auto Update feature they have now as I can just upgrade when they do a new release and it seems they are continually trying to improve the product, as of now i'm happy and it's the best FREE VPN out there.

They also have a paid version, I signed up to that for a year to see how they do as it's only cheap.
Support seems great.

No real overall complaints right now, only i wish they had more countries to choose from.
