HOWTO: Secure web browsing and access to Internet using Yousab VPNMessenger

Date: 16.09.10

Keywords: vpn security encryption vpnmessenger ipsec ssl
Public WiFi access points are getting more and more common making it easier to browse the Internet and read your emails on the run. Unfortunately tools to capture or manipulate such open traffic are getting very mature and easy to use.
Windows Remote Desktop and VNC/RealVNC are two very convenient ways of connecting to your home desktop from anywhere in the world. Unfortunately once you enable public remote connections then any person or hacker can also try and connect.
I'll admit that I am a bit late to the game but I have finally found a solution and managed to implement it.
It is called Yousab VPN Messenger service and has all the features of very secured VPN, Secured Instant messenger with very high quality VoIP, ability to connect securely to most available messenger services like (MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and much more) and the most important it's very easy to install and it's a very cheap prepaid service, 40 hours of online usage costs only 1 € for personal use.
I just downloaded the Yousab VPN Messenger from http://www.vpnmessenger.net/
I have Windows Vista on my computer, so I had to follow the instructions given on the site and I proceeded to disable the User Account Control in Windows in the control panel. Then I installed and then started the Yousab VPN Desktop messenger program straight away.
Then windows firewall asked me to block the program, or unblock it so I selected to unblock the program.
it asked me to me to enter my account & password, or I register new account so I registered an account, all what was required to register was just my name and email address. Then I checked my email, and I received a email with my account number and password, I entered then in the program and I logged in it requested me to close the program and restart the computer to complete the system configuration, and I did so.
After I restarted the computer I run it again and I logged in again and the service gave me a free 10 units credit free to test the service, which was nice to try it before I start to pay them, this 10 units was enough for me to test the service around 4 hours, and as long as I had balance it continue working so smooth without problems and difficult configuration for a VPN. My main reason to use it was to secure my Internet connection, and be able to access sites and online services that are forbidden (PC2Phone VoIP services like Callserve & Skype) in the countries of my work (Saudi, Emirates, Kuwait, and others) {my work requires me to travel a lot between these countries}. Then when my balance was near to finish I bought 300 units with 3 € that are enough to use it for around 120 hours of use (more than one month for me)
With Yousab VPN messenger package also a small client called Netgate Service client that I can use it instead of the messenger, but it's only for provide Secured TCP tunnels acting as anonymous proxy in the browser + also a client for Yousab VPN service. In reality I nearly didn't use it, because the messenger was really much easier to use, and give me access to all my Instant messenger accounts in MSN, Yahoo and ICQ in one program.
With this VPN messenger, all my online experience, Instant messaging, emails, web browsing, document transfers, video conferencing, VOIP, anything and everything became transparently encrypted and secured.
Any hacker listening to my traffic online through My ISP either I'm connected by LAN/wireless modem or public WiFi from then on just see a highly encrypted traffic.
Any website or online service that was forbidden by the ISPs was from then on, was available to me.
As I am a regular user of VPN due to traveling I have tested several VPN providers that you have listed on your website, but www.vpnmessenger.net is far ahead of these (I will not mention any names as its disrespectful to the website owners) due to the features that it offers.
Thanks to Yousab VPN Messenger program and service and I am sure if you list this you will get allot more users wanting to use this service.
